Oklahoma sports fans are proud to tell the world
that The Sooners have been a dominant force on the college football scene, since
the 1920's. Our OU Sooners have won numerous bowl games, 41 conference
championships and seven Associated Press National Championships, making the
Sooners the most decorated program in the Big 12 conference.
Oklahoma citizens are forced to share their beloved OU Sooners with a nationwide audience of fans. In fact, The University of Oklahoma was ranked as the 3rd best college sports program in America by Sports Illustrated in 2002. The University of Oklahoma features 17 varsity sports teams.
In addition to producing winning games, the Sooners tend to send their
coaches to the Hall of Fame. Worldclass Sooner football coaches Bennie Owen, Bud
Wilkinson, and Barry Switzer have each found their way into the College Football
Hall of Fame. Shop our Sooner Fan Store for an amazingly large selection of OU
Sooner Fan Gifts, apparel and tailgate party gear. 2009 Norman Music Festival
The 2nd annual Norman Music Festival from 11am until Midnight on Saturday, April
25, 2009. The Norman Music Festival is held annually on Main Street in historic
downtown Norman, Oklahoma -
Home of the OU Sooners. Last year, more than 13,000
people hit Main Street to see more than 30 bands playing at this FREE music
festival. OU Sooners Sports TraditionsThe University of Oklahoma school colors may have evolved over the years, but you can ask any self-respecting Sooner what the colors are and they will proudly shout: Crimson and Cream. OU boasts a tradition of excellence that few schools can rival. Over the years, Sooner squads have combined for 22 team national championships including seven in football, seven in wrestling, four in men's gymnastics, two in baseball, one in men's golf and one in softball. Boomer Sooner - the OU Fight Song is one of the most infamous college fight songs in the nation. It is performed by The OU Marching Band at most Sooner athletic events and immediately evokes passion from OU fans and evokes chills down the spines of those who dare to oppose them.

OU Scores Recruiting VictoryOn December 18, 2008, the top prospect in the state of Oklahoma committed to play football for the Oklahoma Sooners. Jenks cornerback Gabe Lynn had received offers from the whole region, but chose OU. With the Big 12 being blessed with an embarrassing surplus of great receivers and quarterbacks... the cornerback position is more important than ever this year! Home
Another great way to enjoy the waters of Oklahoma is to get a taste for kayaking.
